Having drafted our annual report on 2009, we have evaluated our qualities and our results at finding co-owners. All our efforts have not led to reaching our goal: bringing together the required minimum amount of owners. The long and short of it, we have to admit, is; we need help! Therefor today we meet a yachtbroker specialised in mega yachts. The broker company operates from the Netherlands but it also has offices abroad. It has a large group of prospective and real clients, a magazine and website, and it attends many international boat shows. It also has connections worldwide with other brokers. We need someone specialised in bringing together owners for our project, and with a company like this one, we should succeed.
During our meeting we develop a promotional campaign and we come to a mutual understanding of how to work together. Before we can actually enter into an official contract, some fieldwork will be required. We need a promotional brochure and, more important, we need to write down once and for all the financial, tax and legal ins and outs of the program. What will be the ‘terms of use’ the owners can rely on? What is the tax structure and why would it be very beneficial to the owners? What legal aspects are important for prospective owners to know?
We have all information in our heads, hands and files, but now it is time to present it in a comprehensive and easy to understand manner. We decide to spend the coming month on sifting relevant information and on actually making the promotional materials.
